As spring shifts to summer our thoughts turn to holidays in much sunnier climes.  If you’re anything like me and you love a coastal escape or beach retreat then you’ll be in need of some epic swimmers.

When you consider you may spend much of your holiday wearing swim shorts, it’s important to invest in some good quality pairs that will last for summers to come and keep you looking your best and feeling confident on the beach or by the poolside.

Here are the swimmers I’ll be packing when I head off on my travels:

Vibrant Orange:

This summer,  it’s time to finally embrace the short shorts.

If you are feeling body conscious this season, then look no further than a pair of shorter swimmers.  The length of shorter swim shorts will be way more flattering to men of all shapes and sizes than baggier, longer shorts and will help accentuate your legs.  Long shorts have the curious effect of making the diminutive look even smaller and I’ve always found shorter shorts help visually improve my height whilst also being better for tanning!

A brighter colour like this vibrant orange will ensure you make a statement at the beach clubs this year and stand out from the crowd.  These bright orange swimmers are from the newly launched Che Studios, the brainchild of Oliver Cheshire and they utilise a blend of nylon waste from around the world alongside recycled in to a nylon yarn,  sustainable and ethical, which is great to see.

Timeless Navy:

Whether it’s blue skies or blue seas, we all love shades of blue.

Arguably the most timeless and versatile colour when it comes to swimmers, a navy pair can form the basis of your holiday wardrobe and will work well with pretty much any colour up top.

Just add a brightly coloured tee or polo shirt and espadrilles for a relaxed look for lunch in a local taverna or grab a linen shirt and boat shoes for something a little smarter and more holiday formal and polished.
Ultra smart, timeless in design and most importantly quick-drying, you can’t go far wrong with Orlebar Brown.

Powder Blue:

Dress like Bond for a day at sea this summer.

Orlebar Brown have recreated the powder blue style Bond wore while swimming in a Shanghai rooftop pool in an iconic scene from Skyfall.

If you’re a fan of Bond it’s well worth checking out the full collection that features some rather impressive recreations of the iconic Bond wardrobe.
