Pasta perfection from nonna tonda at sea containers

IMG_8496

After a long day of work, is there anything more comforting than a freshly prepared bowl of pasta with a serious scattering of cheese?!

Last Tuesday I visited the Nonna Tonda pop up over at the 12th Knot, the rooftop bar at Sea Containers overlooking the Thames and it’s safe to say the pasta on offer did not disappoint.

The menu is fairly concise but features all the key players, with a melt in the mouth buffalo mozzarella & focaccia to kick things off, a modern tagliatelle with a duck ragu or a classic ‘pici cacio e pepe’ which quite literally translates as ‘pasta, butter and cheese’ – always a winning combination.

Wash down the pasta with some truly epic cocktails with a rather spectacular view overlooking the Thames.  Given I’ve recently given up drinking alcohol I was very impressed to see a decent selection of non-boozy tipples, all very creative and proper tasty.

If you’re a big pasta fan, there’s only three Tuesdays left for the rest of April, so get on down to try for yourself!

Where is your favourite place in London for a quality bowl of pasta?
